Coding and Robotics
Class after class, it’s amazing to see how hard the kids work to reproduce the Bible stories with coding and robotics!

Our Three Pillars
Local
Global
Knowledge Share

Community Church of Seattle is our home church, where we hold annual lessons for students.
Through these sessions, we serve the students in our hometown.
Outreach has always been important to our mission, and we have hosted sessions in many areas with limited access to technology.
We believe engaging the students with the technology isn’t just for a few local churches but for all churches, and we know we cannot do this alone.
We would love to see other churches use coding and robotics, and we are currently working to document our knowledge and experience to share with other groups.
Our Tools
Scratch
Scratch is an excellent block language with which anyone can build animations and games. We teach Scratch to our students which they use to create fun games out of stories of Jonah and Joseph.
Code.org
Code.org is a site for learning basic coding concepts through familiar characters like Steve from Minecraft and Elsa from Frozen. We use this site to help students progress through the logical steps of code.
Lego Mindstorms
Lego Mindstorms is an excellent robotics kit that can be controlled by code. We have watched our students build robots that cross the Jordan River and topple Jericho!
mBot
mBot is a built-in robotics kit that can be controlled with little assembly or complicated programming. Robot racing and robot soccer with mBot were certainly the kids’ favorite!

Lets Expand God’s Kingdom Together!
Kingdom Coding was formed under the Community Church of Seattle in 2015 and has been growing ever since. In the coming years, we hope to continue teaching and preaching to more people!
